The reason we volunteer, offer our team members volunteer opportunities, and partner with like-minded businesses and organizations is that it benefits our communities and our employees. We want to live, work, and play in great communities, and we’re willing to put in the work to do so. If that’s not reason enough, volunteering also makes us feel pretty darn good.
True to our mission, FMS is the first janitorial service in the world to become a certified B-Corporation. We’re also a registered Public Benefit Corporation in Kentucky.
A benefit corporation is a type of for-profit corporate entity that includes a positive impact on society, workers, the community, and the environment in addition to profit as its legally defined goals. Additionally, FMS, pbc is committed to the stewardship of the environment and to reducing the company’s dependence on non-renewable energy. Reponsible Purchasing is the method wherein environmental and social considerations are equally important to our organization as price and profitablilty. These socially and environmentally responsible policies and procedures support our organization’s mission, and our commitment to sustainability. All things equal, FMS will select suppliers who are: locally owned, owned by women or individuals of under-represented populations who demonstrate an interest in helping employees, protecting others, and possess a commitment to our environment.
We’re not just a leader in the janitorial industry; we’re leading the effort to conduct business in a better way, and we’re always looking for a few like minded companies who share our goals. Get in touch and let’s get started.
